Letterpress print of a rolled cotton strap with a D-ring Offerbrightly Burnaby, BC
One cotton mat with a rumpled blanket on worn timber boards

William Street

The floor still shows where the old sofa sat.

You come in from 4530 William St through the sage side door. Shoes off at the cubby. The room is one rectangle of timber with a window that blows out on grey Burnaby afternoons. We practice here. That is most of what there is to say.

The kettle lives in the corner.

Whoever arrives first can boil water. There is no café attached. If the jacket on the peg is still damp, someone walked in the rain from Hastings.

Call +1 604 445 5670 if you need to know whether the room is free that evening. We will tell you straight.

The cubby takes whatever you walked in with. Umbrellas drip on the linoleum. We do not run a coat check.
